I am at the Noork's Elbow level of the original game. I cross the bridge, turn either left OR right, go thru a door, there are steps leading up...which ever way I go, I get the GPF error and it shuts me down. I tried on the brand new Dell laptop and on the old reliable desktop. Errors the same at the same position either way. Is there a bug in this program that I haven't heard of? I know I am behind the times but now that I have some time I wanted to finish the game. Help please! Thanks! Bob  |

prolly some unreal game, Unreal 1 or 2 i think.. but i dont know.

what program? dont run any progs (trainers etc, 3d party progs) if they crash 'The Game'.. |

I never got that far in the original. Can't imagine why you'd get it running on two completely different machines though.... |

He's talking about Unreal 1. You should know from the Noork's Elbow comment. Geeez!!!! Well, at least us nut cases would know  .
Did you download the patch for unreal here?
Here's a direct link but I would recommend going to the above site and choosing a mirror...

The patch fixed all the probs I had. If you already have the patch or that didn't fix it then give me more specifics including your PC's specs, etc.
Also be sure to have the latest Directx version installed though I doubt that would be the cause of the problem. |
