I'm pretty sure the rebate's international, but you won't get it because the receipt is the bit of paper the guy at the counter gave you when you brought the game. It says you brought UT2003 from there, the price, etc... proof of purchase. 99.9% of people will have binned their receipts when they got the game home.

I'm not rich, but I'm possibly the laziest person you've ever encountered, and making any effort to receive around £10 doesn't appeal to me Razz

omg, thats stupid, i never keep my receipts...
unless i buy somthing like.. a TV or soemthing big..

why not the box with serial and CDs?? that make more sence.. tho people could show same box twice..

yeah ur right, i bought the game a long time ago so of course I threw out the receipt,i never thought i would need it again.

this is just some epic mess uo towards us, they first tell us we get rebate, so we alll think, cool, and then it apears that like 99% of teh people wont geta rebate..

yeah well the more people who lost rebate= prob interested in buying game=they buy game= epic makes more money.

if less people get a discount, it means that more people buy theh game, and epic gets more money..
i dont see why they should buy it more if its expensifer

threw mine away as soon as I got it in my hands... I'm not thinking about a receipt when I have a fresh copy of UT2k3 in my hands.

I will pay the normal price... I will buy UT2k4... I will play UT2k4... I will advertise UT2k4... I will make a hole in the box and have my way with... a woman... ^^ nevermind Rolling Eyes

Yes, or, you can get l33t haxx0r skills and break into the Epic servers and get their latest beta build. But, anything is possible. People who are dishonest and feel like screwing over the industry will do so. It blows, but it happens.
The closest thing they could do would be to check CD keys of everyone who comes in trying to get the discount. But... meh, I digress.
