Well since the delay of UT2004 is now official I thought I would change the poll.  It was good to see most of you thought Epic was crazy.    The new poll is a question about what video card is in your rig? |

nVidia GeForce-4 TI-4200, though, I'm looking at upgrading it soon, as it's got some issues that I'm not willing to deal with anymore (upgraded my video drivers, and Halo now crashes, went back? same crash)

Though, I'm still very impressed with this card overall.

Dunno what my next card will be, but who knows. |

Actually, that's not a fair statement, since Halo for the PC is less than 2 months old.

The game itself might be older, but the graphics detail used for the PC version far exceeds that of the Xbox...

Also, if my GF4-TI-4200 can run it decently, then it sounds as though you have another problem with your system.

Just my $0.02. |

Ahem?? Have you SEEN Halo PC's character skins?? The only thing higher detail is that it's possible to set the resolution higher, and it runs badly even when I have it on 640: basically, 2-year-old graphics. It's only 2-month-old if you run it at a res above 640.

I agree, it's probably an incompatibility with the card (the amount of people who've complained of performance problems probably just about match how many have a 5600 Ultra), but an FX is so mainstream that it's really unforgiveable to have problems with one.

Mind you, I'm not too bothered about it anymore because I'm not particularly gripped by Halo anyway. I'm playing through Sonic 3 & Knuckles instead . Just a bit pissed off that I wasted my money. |

MSI GeForce4 ti4600.

Bought it about a week after the 4600's were released.

Using the latest official drivers and no complaints.

(Now if I could upgrade my cpu, I'd be happy) |
