In my oh-so righteous opinion, no purchase of this kind should ever be rushed. The shopping mall and Internet will still be here tomorrow, so take the time to research which card will work best for the features you require.
To answer your question, you won’t be disappointed with either card. They both rock. But the ATi card rocks more when it comes to AntiAliasing and Anisotropic filtering, so that is the one I recommend. |

the radeon is about 15 dollers more..
the 5950 has video in/out..
still note sure, if anyone else knows whats best to buy, please let me know.
im gonna order it tomorow.
il discuss it with my dad tonight at dinner, see what he thinks.
but theres nothing wrong with the FX 5950??

No, there’s nothing wrong with the FX. The only “problem” with them is that they are technologically behind their ATi equivalents by about 3-6 months; the whole FX line is. I’m no fanboy, but the simple truth is that ATi are the current technological leaders in the consumer graphics arena.
Saying that, nVidia make a solid product, and their drivers have always been excellent. If TV IN/OUT is important to you then go for the FX and don’t look back. |

tbh both of them are very good cards.
it's just a matter of personal preference that i go for ATI.
but they are about matched on everything and anything that people have thrown at them. (ATI makes it look prittier, but nvidia makes it show up faster.)
/me votes for ATI. |

For once, I must agree with that. |

ATi card for sure, ATI own nvidia big time with their Radeon line of cards. And i can not imagine a Radeon not having tv out. |

NVIDIA all the way, good luck with those defective catalyst drivers,
nvidia aint that great either though, the fx5800 was a major piece of garbage, it turned off its fan when screensaver turned on... and u know what comes after that...lol |
