UT2003 worked on my PC. (not verry good, but it worked) so i guess UT2004 will do to.
but i got some sort of problem with my motherboard/grapichs card.
i cant update the drivers...
so now i got a Ge Force 3 TI 500... with some crappy old driver..
big bummer!
i am not getting the best out my vid. card. couse the drivers are so old.
else i could easly DOUBLE my FPS
when i try Midnight Club 2 demo. i cant get a higher resolution then 640x480.. tho normaly i play 1024x786...
anyone know if UT2004 will do the same? or how i can fix my problem?
i wont be buying a new PC untill end 2004/begining 2005...

Something wrong with my motherboards AGP slot..
when i bought it it already was bad. mailfunction in the factory..
it wasnt anounced until later.. |

that really sucks.
what's the rest of your specs, maby you should just get a new MB soon, and then when 2k4 releases get a new vid card. |

well my vid card is good enough for now i think..
and i cant afford a own computer. this is my dads. (i use it most of teh time tho)
he wont put new Mboard in. and i dont know how. neither does my dad.
i think its verry simple. and it comes with a manual. but he wont listen! 
we will get a new PC in begining 2005.. so that over a year!
since i could play 2k3. i think 2k4 will do to.
nothing changed in the engine.. nothing big anyway.. just a bit slower framerate and not that nice textures etc for me... |

to be honest, installing the mobo is a little harder than it sounds, but your right, it does come with a manual, but sometimes it is better to have a "pro" do it untill your comfortable with extracting, and installing your computers "skeletal" system.
and 2005 isnt very long to wait, but if your planning to get HL2, it would actually be better to wait for the new pc, because at the rate things are going for that, (hl2) it COULD, be 2005 by the time it is released
oh and btw when you do get the new comp, make sure you get everything you want in it, unless you build it yourself, (which you probably should do, or at least have a computer store build it for you) that way if you want to upgrade it (you will trust me) the parts dont have to be bought from a specific company (like dell) they can be bought online and shipped to you. and hopefully by then you will have gotten the basic knowledge of comps down and it should be a snap for you to install the new parts  (hopefully you dont really *snap* the parts though  |

get a good comp for 700 bucks, make sure you get 512 ddr ram pc 3200 or 1 gig |

i got a 3GHz, 2x512 RAM, GeForce FX 5950 Ultra 256 MB.

mine still kicks 4ss tho so im not complainin... |
