Yet more gaming news on the front today, with an interesting article over at Sunspot.net, which investigates the current movement towards developing video games as training for militaries. These guys are really taking their work seriously too, as is evident from this quote from the article:
"We take this very seriously," said Douglas Whatley, chief executive and chief technology officer for BreakAway, which he started six years ago to develop sports games. "People are making major decisions based on what they learn from our software. People's lives could depend on what we're doing."
Sounds like a good idea to hone those skills in some VR chambers if you ask me. Head on over and check out the full article yourself here.

yeah ive heard this a while back, americas army was developed for soldiers to some extend and the military trained on tom clancy games a cople of years ago
