Gusher, of the PreFabLab team sent me an e-mail the other day about an opening in the Gearbox Software team. They are in need of a Level designer or two. The job can be full time or on a contract basis. You must meet these requirements:
Quote:
-Have excellent level design skills using one or more of the following:
-UnrealEd
-Hammer/Worldcraft
-Q3Radiant
-Have playable levels or screen shots
-Be passionate about games and level design
-Be able to follow direction and work well with a team
-Have a high school degree
-Live near or are able to relocate to Dallas, Texas

Other preferable skills include:
-Single player map experience is a plus
-Professional work or published mod work is a plus
-Send resumes to gamejobs@gearboxsoftware.com

Gearbox does not have any additional openings at this time.
However, Gearbox is always interested in exceptional talent. If you are an
experienced and capable game developer that thinks Gearbox might be a good
place to work, please let us hear from you. Send a resume, cover letter and
work samples or demo to: gamejobs@gearboxsoftware.com

Gearbox doing Unreal Engine Work?

I guess all the (lack of) fun doing the Counterstrike game for Valve has put them off Engines from that side of the world.

But then they have close knowledge of the Halo Engine, and presumably Halo2...
