U2 R running error cannot delete "unreal2.ini" View next topic View previous topic  Unreal Ops Forum Index » Unreal Series Author Message Readercal Guest Posted: Wed Aug 27, 2003 12:09 pm U2 R running error cannot delete "unreal2.ini" Hi I've installed the game alright and downloaded the patch but when I click on the game icon on the desktop, I get the following error message "Error setting display mode: No acceptable display modes found (D3D_OK). Please delete your Unreal2.ini file if this error prevents you from starting the game. History: UD3DRenderDevice::UnSetRes <- FindBestMatchingMode <- UD3DRenderDevice::SetRes <- UWindowsViewport::TryRenderDevice <- UWindowsViewport::OpenWindow <- UGameEngine::Init <- InitEngine Build: Jan 7 2003 18:16:21. Accordingly I delete the Unreal2.ini file and restart the game but still i get the same message over and over again and the Unreal2.ini file is created by itself ach time.
