Far Cry(review, problems etc)

hey all, i got Far Cry yesterday, and played some today, prety hard, even on easy.. but its mostly becouse th econtrols suck, and the mouse movement. also the FPS do, i dont know the exact FPS. couse i cant see em. but i guess its lower then 10. thats only sometimes tho, when you shoot at people, alot of people shooting you or complex stuff like textures or machines or light.
i must say, it all looks absolutly fabulous, best grapics ever, you can realy see sweat on his face, and the light is so nice, so is the water.
i got a 3.0 GHz pc, with 2x512 dual channel memory, geforce fx 5950 256 mb. only thing better i can imagine is SATA. i got ATA. but that wouldent care much for FPS etc.
the controls just suck.. hard to drive, hard to shoot, even hard to get of a ladder.. took me 6 or so trys to understand how you can climb down. Rolling Eyes

its prety good tho, but what kind of super pc do you need to run the game at highest? i let it autoset the settings etc, and it put all on highest, but that wouldent run good, so i put it on high.. even now its not perfect. i think this game is ahead of his time.. or its just me.
do i need latest drivers to play? i got 52.16.

also, you cant have something like Clone CD or deamon tools instaled, the game wil not run then. i say that BS. and got a crack to fix the prob Razz

teh demos worked fine for me....

i never had a problem with the game....

but definately restart your pc before you play i was getting some serious BSP errors.... but when i restarted they were all gone...

demo was ok. but full game is heavyer.
you got it to?
i restarted, set the details etc lower.. lets see how it goes now

demo is nuthing compared to real game..
the grapics are better, gameplay to.
good thing: it doesnt leave your PC slow, after games like UT2004 my pc is slow for a bit, after far cry its okey.

get the newest drivers 56... also, if you really cant play, set ur settings to normal and turn off aa and af.

AF? <-- anstriofic filteringy thingy? what does that do?

ok, so i first have to remove the old driver i got now, then downlaod latsest one from nvidia.com and instal? reboot and set settings back to right screensize etc?

thanks, i still dont realy know what the filtering is.. but i dont think it mathers...

you sure dlaod and instal works? i had alot of trouble with drivers etc, had like 3 instaled at same time..
but if your sure it will work.. i guess it will then
