This little tidbit is too cool not to make the front page. AMD recently announced that their XP 64-bit CPU's are powering the rigs that are doing much of the CGI in Star Wars: Episode III.
I am very glad to see that larger CG companies are starting to think outside the box i.e. Intel, SGI, when it comes to the latest technology. Competition is definitely a good thing for us gamers and all carbon based life-forms as well. |
