ATI released new Catalyst drivers yesterday. These drivers claim to improve performance significantly for the ATI Radeon 9500 PRO, 9700 PRO, 9800 PRO, and 9800 XT products running Unreal Tournament 2004. In some cases providing a 25% increase using extreme graphics settings such as 6xAA + 16xAF. When I get a moment to install these drivers I will give you my verdict. If you decide to test these drivers make sure to have your stat fps console command handy. You can grab the 4.9 Catalyst by visting ATI here and you can read the full release notes here. |

Has anyone used the Catalyst Control Center yet? Sounds like some n00btard-friendly waste of system resources to me. What was wrong with the standard control panel that this fixes? |
