system tweaks View next topic View previous topic  Unreal Ops Forum Index » Unreal Ops Soap Box Author Message Stinger Guest Posted: Tue Aug 26, 2003 2:59 am tycho....i did thos etweak that you wrote about using the new nvidia drivers and directx 9 and what not and they worked great for ut2k3! but.... i treid booting up bf1942 and it wont start......tries to but then goes to desktop before anythign even comes up.....uninstalled and it wont reinstall saying "cannot find the directx file F:\redist\directx81\dsetup.dll" im guessing this has to do with installing directx9b?? is bf1942 not compatible with dx9......do i jus reinstall dx8? xp 2400 512 2100 ddr geforce 4ti4200 128mb (4403 drivers) Tycho Wanna-Be Webmaster Joined: 17 May 2003 Posts: 1041 Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan Posted: Tue Aug 26, 2003 3:12 am I would try and re-install Dirext X 9b first.
