hey yall..
we got a guy to set us up a router.. but he dident got it configured right yet.. so were basicly internet less.. 
i hooked the old modem up, and im on there now.. but i better be able to get onto UT2004 when it releases..
anyone got some tips to get routers work good? |

there are no tips except, routers like linksys are made to work when plugged in, like the model befsr 41. thats all. you might need to open some ports but its no big deal... |

Some details that would help:
1) What brand/model of router do you have?
2) What OS's are you connecting to said router
3) How many computers are you connecting?
4) If you're connecting more than one computer, is the hub built in to the router, or seperate?
5) Are you running any firewall software on your computer?
Those should help us better debug the situtation, and get you online. |

thanks yall. the router seemed to be incompatable to my ISP..
couse they guy who instales it here is dumb.. and he doesnt even speak english..
wel get anothign one in 3 weeks.. so il have to do it this way now..

but it's kinda hard to install a router wrong.... theres only a minimun of 3 connectors in the back (max is 66 i think)
unless he got the firmware wrong, but then all youd have to do is download it and re-flash it..... i dunno |

the router just wont work wiht my ISP.
and so far as i saw it i am better with the configuratin then he is.
tho i dont knwo anything of networking or anything like that... |
