ut 2004 demo "tricks"

I started this new tread becuz i wanted to know what u guys discovered in the ut 2004 demo.

I mean things like: getting a manta on your own tower (like i did a few times) or like getting a scorpion on the main tower (like my friend did).

How to get a manta on your tower:
get a manta, drive it just out of your base, and face the nose to the tower.
That was the easy part.
To your right will be an heap of earth to the wall. Drive at top speed over the wall and when you are at the top press jump. Steer to the tower and u will land on top of it! Cool

I don't exectly know how my friend got the scorpion on top of the main tower, but it was something like this:
Drive a scorpion ON a raptor, this will take some practice but the best way to do it is to push the raptor in your base from the edge, drive a scorpion on the edge and drive it on the raptor.
the trick is now to SOFTLY AND SLOWLY fly the raptor to the main tower, when you are above it descent by pressing "c" and u got your scorpion on the tower! Very Happy

only thing i know is some camper skils, and jumping around the main tower stuff. nothing unusual.. but great fun Razz

wel. it was harder as i thought, BUT i got a manta on it, but not the way you sayed it.
i dunno which hill you mean, what base? what exit of what base? and what hill?

put spider mines on your manta then attach sticky grenades on them.

erm...ill ingore what u just said cheetah

stickys are used to sabotage enemy vechiles/attach to ur vechiles and drive them into enemies jump out and blow up, and to attach to spider mines so they do double the damage to enemies.

alpha, does it do much damage that way?
and why jump out? if it doesnt hurt you anyways.

also, sit in enemy base, stick 8 mines to teh raptor, hide, and wait to blow someone up who trys to fly it Razz

i did it a few times to the bots in the game and they explode into a million tiny bits....

I will try to explain it (forgive me my bad english; i am dutch) when you are in a base (doesn't matters wich one) get in a manta and drive trough the gap in the wall with the hellbender next to it. Drive until you are a few meters out of the base and turn the other way. Now you are looking to the base. if u look to the wall you will see a hill next to it. Drive over that hill and when you are a top of it jump. Steer in the direction of the tower and hope you land on it.
