how do i add buddy's in demo 2004???

Is it possible to add buddy's in the UT 2004 demo?
if its not, why is there a screen then.
Or do i need to use a console command like: ADD BUDDY [name]????
plz help me some1.

Well, I've only found out one way to do it, and it's not all that easy. If there's another way, I'd sure love to know about it. Wink

As for my way, here's how you do it:

Of course UT2004 is open and you're looking at the buddy list, we'll say, so just go from there... :

Go to the 'Internet' game server tab;
Select any server - it doesn't matter at all;
Once you've selected that server, don't join it but rather focus your attention on the player list (the one with players scores and nicknames, etc.)
Right-click on anyone's nickname and select 'Add to buddy list,' it will bring up a prompt with the users nickname. Erase that, and enter the persons nickname you want.

I hope that helped. And hey, if you want, I can put up some screens to show you how. Or something. Razz

Hopefully in the retail release there will be, but if not, then, well, that's a big minus for UT2004. Neutral

you can ad dbudys trough IP.
also, you cant see server IP and name whil eplaying.. sucks..

yeah.. damn epic.
im disapointed, you would expect after that much delays, they make a super cool bug free demo. but thats not true at all.
everyone sayed let em take their time, so we get a extra good game. but it just took long, and it isnt that good at al. alot of things stil broken or unexplained to me..
damn you cliffy and mark!! u2 willhaven!! lol

ooooh, im so sorry i didnt notice this thread, what you do is go to the server list, select a random person, right click, select add buddy, and put in ur buddys name and press ok.... thats the easiest way, hope this helps

but a question, maybe its the same for buddys, when i go to my fav server list, and i right click one, and delete it, it seems all good, but then it just comes back after a refresh or when i switch menus..
so i got a whole list of favorites that dont even exists anymore.. its annoying..
anyone know why and what?

maybe it's stll in the INI file..... dunno tho.

try checking one of the INI files see if you can find it.

even if that works, it should just be posible to delete em the easy way trough the favo list ingame.. so i think its a bug or so? anyone else have the prob?
