well i saw this sreenshot, and i see now you have money, and injuries and all.. i think that sux,, wher is the just play and blow peole to eternety spirit? and how do you get injured? you eiter get blown to pieces or survive..?
i liked it better the old simpel way, select your team and blast em!
this sux.. what do you think?

Well, playing online is better than offline, so i'm glad they added some depth to the SP; it makes it more worth playing, besides just for unlocking some models (which can be done without completing the ladder anyway...) |

it's COOOOOL!!! credits to buy bots!! that makes SP more interesting for ppl that dont play online....
and i think that it is this way: you play and get killed and you respawn, but only f you have enough money to buy a respawn, or maybe it is that you can buy respawns at the beginning of the level so that you dont have to start the level all over again when you die....
but this is just a theory... 
and maybe its an old screen and they changed it later on |

What Plumb_Drumb is referring to is that the only element of depth to UT2003's SP is that completing it unlocked the Malcolm, Lauren and Brock skins. We have no idea if any skins will be unlockable in UT2004, but my money's on Xan3, Malcolm and maybe Abaddon (the new leader of the experimental freak people). It's an old tradition, dates back to Xan in the first game.
Personally I like the new complexities (if you like just picking a team and blowing stuff up, you can do it easily enough in Instant Action), but the concept of injuries always struck me as somewhat stupid, going right back to the UT2003 ladder intro. The technology is right there to simply respawn when you die, all your injuries magically healed... so why the hell would a combatant sustain an injury? Ho hum, the more depth the better I suppose. |

if you ahve to BUY respawns.. that will take away the whole effect of the game.. you die and come back.. so you cans till play, thats the fun. sinc eyou die like every minute.. its not muhc fun when you dont respawn.
and i want all skins... not wanan unlock em.. |

1) If you die every minute, then you really need to PRACTICE (perhaps on easy?) first.
2) If you don't like the idea that you have to unlock the skins, don't buy the game. Otherwise, deal. |

I doubt we'll have to buy respawns, but it looks like maybe injured teammates wont be as productive, so its worth giving them a bandaid or trading them for another player.
I think it sounds pretty cool, and as was mentioned earlier, it separates it from instant action.
If you don't like the ladder, play IA.

you have so many other skins to choose from so I don't see the problem
this was I was hoping for in UT2k3... a real roster like it should be in the TOURNAMENT! now I will be playing SP a lot |
