| that could be an option...

but, not until CBP2 is finished.
CBP2 will not be held back to wait for the updated CBP1 maps, so you will definitely find a download for CBP2 before you see any other package, whether it be a combo pack, gametype packs, or single map releases.

Is CBP2 going to be for UT2k3 only?

CBP2 will be a completely new pack which will be released for ut2k4.

CBP1 will be converted to ut2k4. With some bugfixes etc.

So you will have both CBP1 and CBP2 for ut2k4.

Doesn't make any sense to me. All it requires is a rebuild in the new editor and the maps will work fine. Also bug fixes won't take a whole lot of time to delay CBP2?

To be honest it makes a whole lot more sense to get out CBP for UT2004 first because you've got all the content already and should only be a matter of converting/rebuilding and few additional bugfixes...

| On another note, releasing everything in one pack isn't a great idea either because that way the download will be HUGE.

| The new project is a higher priority than converting the old CBP.

There are deadlines that need to be met.

Honestly, how much time does it take for a pure conversion? I'll bet, that I will have converted every single map in CBP in a matter of days (no bugfixes of course, but as far as im concerened there is no need for bugfixes).

So how can a few days work (max) be so low on the priority list? With such a minimalistic effort the priority story is a bit bullshit of course
But then again, what do i know about... |

| when its done, you can download it.
 Until then, you can't.

 Your anxiousness is appreciated though

 [edit]
I should say, recompiling the first CBP was only considered long after progress on CBP2 was already started.
Plan is to finish CBP2, and then get on the original maps for conversion and bug fixing.

Granted, some of hte authors may already be cracking on thier conversions, but others aren't, whether its because of bug squashing in CBP2 maps, or whatever.

Fact is, it's not done, and saying our priorities are bullshit is not going to speed things up.

(the first pack was not built on "minimal effort", and neither will any future projects)

Obviously someone has never tried to convert anything from 2k3 to 2k4.

Several of the maps have exploits. |
