Just read some articles which state that you will only be able to play Doom 3 on a windows 2000 or Windows XP system.
WHAT THE HELL!?
Now, I use XP and is no problem for me, but I know several people who have 98SE for their gaming machines.
What do the others out there think? |

if it was winXP only i wouldent be amd at no one.. if your running win 98 your PC probably isnt good enough to run the damn game anyway.. |

cheetah thats just not true....
my brother still uses win 98 for his gaming rig
but it could be that the game needs to have a specific file or files that only 2kpro or XP has. |

i HAVE A FRIEND WHO ALSO WORKS WITH COMPUTERS..
dammit... But he still uses 98 for his gaming rig and refuses to use XP at all anyway. I think he may use 2000 at work.
I think 98 sucks compared to XP, but only after massive tweaking and disabling of many "features" in XP. I've had such little trouble with it. At least they will have a Linux version out a bit later. That's good news to another friend of mine who constantly bitches when he has to load up a windows machine just to play games. He no likey much. |
