Very sad...... I've been a firm disagree'er of this concept since I first heard about it..... Not only because it makes lan gaming even more difficult (jerks), but also because it's technology like this that makes it more of a pain in the arse on us alternative-OS choosers....
I for one would NEVER install a backdoor like this onto my linux machine.... not that they make a client for linux, but still..... you get the idea....
IF I can play Half-Life in Linux, why should I now have to stop? go figure. |

Well, my main beef with it is that I'm on 56k... it's hard enough to get a good game, but now I have to have some other app running in the background, stealing my bandwidth? Also, c'mon, being connected to the net in order to run a LAN game? That's just self-defeating. |
