What exactly is the .RAR/.ZIP file supposed to do when you double-click?
I don't remember what happened, but it wasn't much. Isn't it supposed to extract all the map files to the /Map folder and so on? |

no
you have to have winrar or winzip installed and extract the files to a location then move them to where you want them |

There is only one big file on 431 MB and a .txt file, under INSTALLATION in the .txt file it says "Just double click and it'll install it all to the right folders", and so I do, but it just opens it up in Winrar, where I don't have much of a choice besides to just extract the 2 files, and after that's done it starts opening a huge .txt file, and after that, it's like this never happened. No new files under /Maps or anything.
