hey all, i was botherd with the way that when you donwload, and uplaod at teh same time, your downlaod slows down.
so i fixed the problem, some of you migth alreay know this tweak, but if ya dont:
WinXP/2000 (older Win. users, let me know, and il tell ya how to do it)
go to RegEdit,
browse to;
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters.
now right click Parameters, and select new DWORD.
name it 'GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize' (whitout the ' and ' )
set the value to 00007fff
DONE!
if it doesnt do it good enough change it to 0000ffff
TIP 2
wonder why webpages load slow, tho you got a fast broadband connection?
its couse it only laods 1 thing, then the other, etc etc.
so its slow, change it to say.. 16 and it goes much faster, you can even try 32.
heres how to do it:
Go to RegEdit
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings
right mouse on internet settings, and select New DWORD
name it MaxConnectionsPerServer
and give it the value of 16, or 32, read above when to use 16 or 32.
make another DWORD
call that MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server
and give it a value, 16 or 32.
DONE!
hope it helps anyone, it sure helped me 
ps. you might need a reboot befor it works |

Thanks for the tips. Here is the FireBird/SeaMonkey equivalent of the second-tip for Mozilla: Open a new browser-window and go to about:config. In the Filter box, type “max-” (with the hyphen, without the quotes) and then push enter. You will get a list of about 5 values which you can use to change how many connections the browser uses. |
